a shade of green
for every promise
that summer makes
a shade of green
for every promise

Hello and thank you all for your patient support! What a busy time, and we are now closing in on the holidays here (my favorite time of the year!)
For anyone who might be interested (feel free to skip over if you are not; I surely understand!), I have a new (little) book out of short poems and micropoetry called this little bird’s song
The book is available at amazon.com, both in old fashioned paperback form and in new-fangled Kindle form! If I can figure out how to post a link, I will!
Thanks, as always, for your continuing support. The blogging community is great!
I think this link will work if you are interested in taking a look
inside
the bubble
no one
will ever hurt her
hold
hold
hold
her there
in that smile
life
will
burst
soon
reaching, but
mornings she knew
only white
childhood days
upside down
reflections
Inside
The words she hides
Underneath
Muffled gray skies
Between
Boarded up eyes
Within
Worn down outsides
Somewhere
She cries
Inside
this face
abandoned
still looking
three circled
almost there, as if
empty knew
She used to face the wind, steady
strength worn in straight lines and
sound steps. But harsh nights
and bitter words weathered her
core, washed away resolve,
beat down seasoned worth,
pieces fall away, she lets
them go, it’s all broken
anyway, layers of fall
lean and snap of
her, cruel words
grab, she’s only
a fragment of
what she was,
the rest of
her is
gone
she’s always
with me
the little girl
that no one sees
she was never
enough, still
trying to
catch up
I look away,
but I know
she’s there,
whispering
my alone
reminding me
following
me
home
floating flakes~bring your white
endings
watched over by
beginnings
window
seeing from
the other side
beginning ~
you will soar the sky
bird whispers
