I am not enough everywhere
here and here and here
but there and now and only me
and all and none and it’s all me
and why can’t I be everywhere?
falling short, falling, falling
losing time, letting all of you down,
down, running all my days, running
in my sleep, no finish line, no
victory tape, no end, only longer
lists, more things missed
lost beneath time spent, spent lost
a thousand ways but still not enough
still
never still
never
Wonderful 🙂 thank you 🙂
🙂
How well you capture that tread mill that life presents us.
Thank you!
That is one stunning image!
and what a way to get the poem going … enjoyed the links and thoughts.
Thanks!
Ugh, this socked me in the stomach. Nailed that feeling of deep hopelessness I was feeling until very recently. Thx for posting. Reminds me I’m not alone on this road. Beautifully written!
Thank you very much for reading and for your kind comments. I am glad I captured that feeling – it is very familiar to me right now.
I’m so sorry to hear that. Sometimes something as small as this can give me some comfort:
“If you’re going through hell, keep going.” -Winston Churchill
I hope you find relief soon.
The endless pull and tug of life’s external demands, beautifully captured 🙂
I’m feeling it! Thank you for your kind comments 🙂
Great poem!
thank you!
It often seems like there are never enough hours in a day, or days in our live.
Reblogged this on my opinions, my story, my life.
