you’re on a plane but you are not coming home,
waiting in line, third for take-off, a life through
oval windows, and you’re off again, gaining air
losing ground, time spend moving around,
departures and arrivals, runways and wind direction,
climbing and descending, landing gear,
it’s just another day, another day I drink tea alone,
another day the sky claims home
You sound sad Sarah … sending blessings and hugs xxx
thank you for the blessings and hugs – they are always appreciated xxx
Love your poem, Sarah . . . Who but a poet could feel such thoughts and put them into words . . . Thanks and blessings . . .
Thank you very much, Peter, for your kind words and thoughts. I truly appreciate both.
Sarah
You’ve captured that feeling perfectly.
…the best compliment I could get…thank you 🙂
I wrote a similar (and longer–it’s prose, what can I say?) blog on the same idea. It’s such a lonely environment.
Beautifully done. 🙂
thank you 🙂
So easy to put myself there, feel your feelings too.
Thank you 🙂
Made me think of my daughter, who’s been away since last September, (only in Madrid but it might aswel be the other side of the world!) beautiful and melancholy 🙂
